The 5th Annual Oldtone Roots Music Festival has three stages offering traditional music performances, dances, workshops, contests, and children’s activities. Educators from the Dudley Observatory at miSci will operate our 14inch telescope inside the roll-top roof observatory, allowing visitors to safely look at the sun and search for sunspots. Other objects such as the moon and planets may also be visible. In the event of poor weather, we will have hands-on activities indoors instead.

The observatory will be open from 1-2:30pm every Sunday. miSci galleries will be open continuously from 12-5pm. Access to the observatory or activities is free with museum admission ($12 Adult, $10 Senior, $8 Child).

Each September, residents of the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library District vote on the Library’s budget and elect Board of Trustee members. Voters need to be registered in New York State (NYS) and live within the Library District 30 days prior to the vote. Homeowners as well as those who rent their residences may vote. This year, the vote takes place at the Library on Thursday, September 26th from 7:00am-9:00pm.

The Library District consists of all of the Town of Clifton Park and the areas in the Town of Halfmoon that are not served by the Mechanicville or Waterford-Halfmoon School Districts. The Library District does not follow the Shenendehowa School District boundaries.

•Free for Students / $3 for Adults
•Sign-up is 7 PM to 7:25 PM / Show at 7:30 / 2 songs or 10 minutes
You are welcome to use our Yamaha studio upright acoustic piano or acoustic Martin guitar. We can play your MP3 backing track through our sound system. You are welcome to bring amps and drums BUT set up and break down is part of your 10 minutes. The host draws names from a bowl at 7:30. The first person drawn gets first choice of timeslot, second gets second choice, etc. The host will add you to the end of the roster if you arrive by 8:30 PM.
•Full table service (see menu). No alcohol.
•Play Nice! We foster a diverse community that has a great time making art and helping one another get better. Excessive profanity, explicit sexual themes, and “humor” that unkindly targets a specific group undermines this goal. It is up to the discretion of the host to enforce the house standards.
